Sightseeing in Vleesbaai

Vleesbaai is a small coastal town about 30km outside Mossel Bay. There is literally a beach, a farm stall just outside and a fuel pump. Ideal for a quiet weekend at the beach. I have been there a few times. You can also have a braai in the public braai areas at Fransmanshoek Conservation Area or for the more adventurist among us there are sand-boarding and 4×4 tracks. The beach is really child friendly as it is more protected by the mini peninsula, but be warned I have gotten stuck in a current in the past. Luckily there were body boarders and surfers in the water that came to my rescue. Also the sharks stay on Mossel Bay’s side. I just love this part of our country. Here are some of my favourite photo’s taken taken when were went for a mini getaway one weekend.
